Compassionate Care Assistance Fund

​If you need help covering pet care costs, DBCHS may be able to assist with a grant of up to $500 

 

Who Can Apply?

To qualify, you must:

  • Provide proof of Boyle County residence

  • Show proof of Care Credit denial

What We Can Help With:

  • Vet exam/consultation fees

  • Vaccinations

  • Spay/neuter procedures

  • Critical or emergency medical care

  • Emergency short-term boarding

  • Pet deposits (to keep pets in housing)

  • End-of-life care

What We Can't Fund:

  • Services already completed before approval

  • Ongoing conditions (e.g., diabetes, Addison’s, heart disease)

  • Conditions with poor prognosis (e.g., kidney failure)

 

How It Works

  1. Apply online using the application link below.

  2. Email Kari at karikuh@dbchs.org with any questions.

  3. Our team will review your application and respond within 48 business hours.

  4. If approved, DBCHS will pay the provider or vendor directly.

  5. Funding is available once per household.
