Donor-Advised Funds
Many DBCHS supporters make gift recommendations through their donor-advised fund accounts. If you already have a donor-advised fund—or are interested in establishing one—our info sheet can help you get started. You can also name DBCHS as a beneficiary of the remainder of your account.

Electronic Funds Transfer
Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) makes monthly giving easy and convenient. When you authorize EFT, DBCHS deducts a designated amount ($10 minimum) from your bank account on the 10th of each month. Even a small monthly gift can have a big annual impact.

Giving Through Your IRA
If you're age 70½ or older, you may be able to make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) directly from your IRA to DBCHS. In 2026, eligible donors may make QCDs of up to $111,000. A QCD can count toward your required minimum distribution, if applicable, and may offer tax advantages.
The distribution must be made directly from your IRA to DBCHS to qualify as a QCD. These forms can help you initiate the process with your financial advisor or IRA custodian.
Planned Giving
Create a lasting legacy for animals by including DBCHS in your will, trust, retirement account, or other estate plans. There are a variety of ways to make a planned gift while meeting your own financial and charitable goals.

Stock Gifts
A gift of appreciated stock can benefit both you and the humane society. With your written permission, your broker can transfer shares electronically to DBCHS's account at Farmers National Bank.
